lighting height off tank

Thanks for reply Joe Reefer,
I have the clear 'risers', what I wanted to know if it would effect the placement of my softies etc. I understand that flourescent fixtures haven't got the water penetration that a halide would so limits what and where you can add to Aquarium.
So with my lighting (130W total flourescent) I could raised them slightly 2"-3" and still be OK?

Yeah, I'm using PC lighting (192W total) on my tank and I use the mounting legs. I've kept hairy mushroom coral, pulsing xenia, frog spawn and a green open brain coral....all with no problems, happy as can be
