teflon, is what you are looking for. slightly bendable/soft, easy to work with.

Hi Chin

OA has a kit that has a masonry drill bit, 20 acrylic dowels and epoxy glue for approx $20. I am not sure what weight this would support, however I am sure that Wendel would be able to give you more info. You can also get lengths of acrylic dowel in a number of thicknesses from Surrey Plastics.
