I've never heard of this.

Is this kind of like the same idea as an in line heater on an engine cooling system of a car?

pentair makes one as well.

I kind of like the idea. I think it would be more responsive compared to just having the heater in the sump/tank.

I've been trying to figure out how to DIY one. Maybe a uniseal that would hold the heater in 1.5-2" PVC piping? drill a hole in an end cap (screw on for service), put in the uniseal, squeeze in the heater. voila!

hey does anyone know how one of these works? i cant find any info on one, this would be better as i could just put it in my canister filter
