What a stupid idea, did they actually think corals and other marine life would encrust and live within rubber?

Well we get lots of stuff growing on tires hanging off the docks around here. I don't think those same critters live in the open ocean though. Amazing how people think that throwing junk in the ocean will "help" it.

sounds like a typical American thing to do though. Why Don't we just dump them in the front lawn of the White House and make an artificial playground for all the politicians there. Make chairs and tables from all the rubber.

May as well make it a renewable resource for them to use up, rather thatn just burn them and pollute the enviroment.
