![]() strange,mine tested much higher mg and alk,but the same ca.I also had some no3 but only .5ppm
New salt=Oceanpure Fresh mix ca = 380 alk= 12/4.28 mg = >1400 color changed to dark purple/tinge of blue rather than grey/blue tested 2x no3= .5 New Salt @24hrs ca = N/A picked up precip from mixing container tested 2x,first was 500,second no color change. alk= 11.8/4.23 mg = 1470 definate color change this time no3= .5 These tests were 2 weeks ago,Ive tested the tank since but not the fresh salt mix.I need a couple new test kits,so maybe next week I'll give it another shot and see what comes up.

![]() Interesting. I have a couple of more mixes left so I will post each time. All of the salt I have is the same batch. Batch number located on the bottom of the bag.

![]() What test kits are you using and have you tried testing the water prior to adding it to your tank?
Those parameters would help out for anyone else who felt like testing their salt.

![]() All of the readings I have posted are in the bucket 24-48 hours after initial mix. These are not in tank readings.
All Tests are Salifert except for PO4 that is D&D MERC Phosphate test. J |

![]() That could be the differance,my salt was Ocean pure pro. used Salifert for all tests.Both sets of tests were before adding to the tank
