![]() News of Steve’s death was incredibly shocking & tragic. He’s one of my favorite icons, gone. I feel sad for his wife & little one’s that’s were left behind dealing with his tragic loss. I admired his enthusiasm & passion for what he did. I loved watching his shows, his energy and his commitment for conservation. I loved the fact that he got so many youngsters interested in wildlife, excited to explore. It comes in great sadness of the freak accident that occurred to him really. What are the odds that a stingray stabbed him in the heart with its poisonous 20cm barb. One thing for sure, it taught me more about the Stingray. I didn't even know the Stingray had what looks and acts like a razor sharp, serrated knife, then packs the punch with a variety of poisonous toxins on it to! YIKS! Google pictures and see!
See Steve has now taught us more with his dead. He died doing the things he loved. Rest in Peace Steve. God bless. We will miss you.

![]() Yes he truly was a special icon who will be sorely missed. His enthusiasm was addicting to watch!
But what a way to go. I'm sure he would have wanted it this way, rather than to grow old and pass away due to old age or illness. RIP.
