Default 117,000gal Tank / Silverton, Las Vegas, Anyone seen it?

I'm off to vegas next Saturday and want to take in some local aquaria.

I saw this new tank at Silverton they put in recently online.

Has anyone else seen it? Good or bad? Any others you'd recommend in the area?

M.

I was in there in April. There is an outlet mall near by, wife shopped while I checked out Silverton. The Pro Bass shop was huge , anything to do with fishing, hunting, guns,bar-b-que, you'll find there. The aquarium is impressive because of it's size. The fish are standard tangs, clowns etc. There was a mermaid swimming around, you can have your pic taken with her.(hey it's Vegas) It's quite easy to get to by bus, or a $20 cab ride from mid strip. All in all better than shopping at the outlet mall. Check out the aquarium at the Forum shops at Caesars. Same type of display. They have a daily behind the scenes tour at 3:00pm. It's free. The reef exhibit at Mandalay Bay was very good, cost $15-20. One aquarium I didn't check out was at Treasure Island, but we'll be back in Vegas in Sept. so I'll check it out then.

Hey,
Check out the Shark Reef at Mandalay. Its pretty cool too! There is a LFS on east tropicana ave. They have a couple other intersting LFS around town. The one on tropicana ave is near the walmart. Great tank stands on display. We go down every year for trade shows so find our way around pretty good. Check out the phone book for the addresses. If ya don't drink alot cheaper to rent a car for the week. Runs about $160CDN unlimited mileage. Doesn't take long to run that much up on taxis down the strip.

Hey!

Thanks for the great advice - will check out all of the good stuff you've both suggested. We have a rental car the entire weekend (and a designated driver).

We are staying one block from the sliverton at Cancun Resort Las Vegas (timeshare) - so really easy to get around.
