LOL!! You guys crack me up OMGosh, a pun

Running our 120g without a skimmer, it makes a lot of sense to export those RBTA nutrients before they become some kind of algae problem down the road. Too bad we couldn't get the GBTA to poop when we're around

The background music makes it seem like such a classy event. I find that some of my fish eat the biproducts of my BTA, so rather than deprive them the meal perhaps I'll play some classical dinner music since it goes so well with the BTA waste removal process.
Bev you do make some interesting but very cool video's.

Greg,

What kinds of fish do you have that eat anemone waste? Also, how often do you feed your fish?

My tangs will eat anything and are always hungry, especially the hippo. They are equal opportunity fish and will eat other's waste as well, not just the BTA.

Have just been reading up on anemones at WetWebMedia....

http://www.wetwebmedia.com/anempt2.htm

Quote:
The removal of regurgitated food in mucus balls and bands through netting and siphoning must be a regular maintenance feature. Digestible foods are converted almost entirely into ammonia...to be removed by system filtration. Some filter-feeding anemones produce mucus nets, pass them up and over, trapping particles and ingest the whole mass. Mucus strands from locomotion and filter-feeding do not appear to be toxic.
Seems like anemone waste removal is a recommended practice. Who wudda thunk it?
