Perhaps this is a stupid question, but can I buy another HQI bulb that's 20kk and use it in this fixture? I.E. Will any (assuming same wattage) HQI MH buld work in this fixture? Eg. brand, color?

I think there's a whole bunch of DE bulbs that can be used in that fixture. (You don't have to use the Coralife 10K bulb.)

I'm using a 24" Aqualight pro (I know, not quite what you are asking BUT) I love the fixture, easy to use, fits well, no fiddling around with a bunch of stuff and it works...very well...downside, yah putting in stuff that is larger into the tank you have to have a helper to hold the light to the side as I mount it on the tank. (It's a 65g hex so tall and narrow) I am really happy with the light....I just wish we had gotten the 250w instead of 150w...it just wasn't out yet though...we are thinking of getting the 36 for our 50g tank (we have a 13000K Geisemann (sp?) on ours, not what it came with)

I have a 24" 250w fixture over my 36" tank. Some spotlight effect, but not to the point of looking bad.So far I like the fixture.I dont find accessing the tank to be a problem,I just lift on the front of the light with one hand, and reach in with the other.Or a person can always hang it,if you wanted better access.
