![]() I set one up yesterday.
I took water, sand, liverock etc from my larger tank and created a 15g nano on my computer desk. The set up thus far includes 1 15g glass tank (old..like very old, plastic trim, but in excellent condition) : FREE 100 watt hagen heater: $20 aquaclear 40 hang on filter $30 Coralife 1X65 watt $70 1 hagen 30 powerhead $20 as for livestock: 1 coral branded shrimp $10 1 small chuck of colt (apporx 4 inches wide when fully expanded): $30 12-16 Lb's figi live rock: Free but originally cost 4.50 per/lb. 1.5 inches of sugar sand: Free but orignially cost about $10 So I am impressed. very cheap. In all I spent150 bucks to set it up since I already had the heater, tank, canopy, filter, etc. All I needed was the powerhead, light and livestock and it cost me about 170 bucks. I will be adding more coral later. I might add a clown in a month or so.
