I have used it in the past on a couple of small nano tanks that I set up. The only thing I can really say is it didn't hurt anything. I don't know if it made my coralline grown any faster but I did have nice coralline growth in the tank. I use it on my work tank more to maintain calcium as I have a clam in there.

I found Reef Calcium works better it contain Polygluconate and seems to make the Coraline grow like crazy.

I'm using it to maintain the calcium in my tank, and it has worked very well for me. I have seen more coralline than I had before I started with purple up.
