Default Arc Fault breakers

Question for Steve or anyone else that knows? My new place has arc fault/GFI breakers, for the bedrooms & bathrooms. My new fishroom is the spare bedroom. So until I have another breaker & like installed, I,m using the current ones.

The arc faults trip if you unplg & it arcs a bit. They wont fire halides without tripping. Now I know they were not installed for this purpose and the code now requires them in bedrooms on new housing but I can remember from the fires and other postings on RC, that they were the suggested route to go. Not much good though if halide bulbs wont fire.

I was going to do the same with the new breaker but guess not now.
