![]() also...we figured since we plan on having this tank up for many years we might as well make the investment in a chiller so we don't have to worry about the investment we have already made...and it sucks when you have something that you care about and have "made it work" and it dies due to heat

![]() my 55 gal runs at 80 and my 10gal at 82, summer time is fine because we have central air so i dont see any rise in tank temp.

![]() I'm at 80.4 at night and 81.5 to 82.0 during the day. I've got a temperature controller coming which I bought on eBay. I want to try for a 78-80 range.

![]() LOL. 80's and 90's.... The highest my tank has hit this summer so far is about 29.5C with the lights on. Its been only 26-27C lately though. Not too bad at all. I have no idea what all this is in F and I'm not about to start learning. I'm happy with metric. Luckily, my thermometer is also only measured in metric so I won't ever get confused or have to learn the wrong units.

![]() Tank is in the basement with lots of water surface and movement, temperature never varies from 78-79.
