Thanks, I have read that and is great, but I recall an article about bringing up PH with baking soda. Also is anyone out there running a drip kalkand how are you doing it. Also is there something I could add with my phosban in phosban reactor to help keep it up (lol) and don't say Viagra.

			Thanks again,

Thanks for the link. Steve, the only reason the the CA is so high is, I use additive every 2nd day, thought I could use the reactor to get it up to 420-440, and forgetabout the additive?? Kinda sems you give up one additive just to replace with another?? Thanks guys the info is appreciated. Mark

So ,you running a CA reactor, Whats your ALK ? Because baking soda will also raise ALK more than PH. Whats the PH of the effluent? With out adding CA additives, whats the reactor maintaining the CA at? What is the PH swing from day to night? When using a CA reactor the PH swing is more important then the actual PH level itself. And as, StirCrazy said, a PH of 8.0, with a reactor ,is fine, leave it alone.

now on to the Kalk drip, how are you doing your top off water now? When using a CA reactor, the best way to add kalk is by using a kalk reactor and auto top off
