Goto http://housecall.antivirus.com, and choose free scan. I personally use this, and it works great. (I am a network Technician and a programmer for over 20 years) I do not use any antispyware, it resides in the background and steals resources, as well as anti virus software. Education is the best resource for not getting viruses and spyware.
Just my 10 bucks, I am a lot more expensive than others!  Cheers, Phil

haha, I won't be doing anything with the machine as it's a work computer, I have no admin priveleges, I cannot install things, or scan.
Weird though.. I get the same pop-ups.. not very often either. Hmm.. No booby sites for me guys... sheesh. not at work anyways... hahah jk

Could be something as simple as a tiny tiny IE window running hidden that is periodically popping up new IE windows through javascript. Check the taskbar and close all IE processes and windows (right click on all IE tasks on the taskbar and click Close). Then relaunch IE and go back to Canreef.
