![]() I have a little giant 5 series pumping water from my sump in the basement to the upstairs. It is extremely noisy and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I does however have a lot of power as I must have about 13 vertical feet of head and the pump still produces 750gph. Since it only produces 1100gph with 0' head that isn't much loss. I believe that the reason it is so noisy is because of the cooling fan and the high pressure it runs at.

![]() which LG 5 series do you have? I was using the 5.5TE 1/2HP for my set up wich is very similar to yours and I was getting around 1800 GPH @11' head. I stopped using it as it was consuming over 5 amps and was quite noisy.
