Hair Algae Starting

Currently can't afford the RO systems... looking into it... trying to find someone that can give me 15 gallons of their RO water in SE/SW calgary, down near Anderson, that I could just pick up and dump in... but Im not sure how effective 1/6 RO water can be... What do you think?

When I say the ammonia is pretty much zero.. its cause It looks to me like both color regions on the chart... my gf thinks its zero.. so lets go with that


I got a tiny cleaning crew in there, and more coming in soon.. so hopefully that will help...

I don't have a nitrate tester... probably gotta go buy that one now too...

How much are phosphate testers?

Regardless, start running a phosphate remove such as rowaphos or similar.

What exactly is that? and how do I use it? Never had to remove phosphates before...


I'll do some physical removal with tweezers tomorrow after work
