There have been long discussions on the merits of various substrate choices on this board, and this only in the last 2 months. I researched DSBs until thoroughly confused, and then found a live DSB a guy was cleaning out of his large tank. The money thing was an issue with me. Even at Eli's prices, it's a wad of cash. Bob made a valid post concerning Calgary water and silica sand. I have 300 lbs of Target Lane Mountain #70 in my garage if you need any.
