From what I've read, Bob, both seem highly regarded. But I will gladly bow to the experience of my betters on this.

Which do you guys prefer, and for what?

Tony - will Jayson throw in some spare shells?Seeing as I want a few crabs - maybe?

Alan ;)

I have a few shells laying around. They were left over after my crabs ATE my snails. After that I have very few crabs left, and they are just the little blue legs.
I will be happy with either, just waiting for the coordinator (Tony) now.

delphinus,

From what i have read (there is a ton of thread at reefcentral) is that fighting conches are one of the best critters to keep you sand bed looking clean, they supposedly eat everything detritus, cyano, etc. As well, from what everyone says they are supposed to be some of the coolest looking critters for your tank, i have seen some pics, they look like a snail with big goofy eyes and a long snout, kinda like an elephant. If jayson can get some of them in, i will be in on that order as well, btw what livestock does he have holding for you?

Why Cerith Alan? I had heard Nassarius was the best sand snail.
