Default Seachem HyperSorb

Has anyone used the product?

Its supposed to be a renewable alternative to carbon, that doesn't remove trace elements from the water as it cycles. Apprently the granules (which I think looks like yeast!) turn dark brown, when its absorbed all it can from the water.

I'm curious to know if the higher price is worth it in exchange for its long life span, ability to be recharged and resused, and the fact that it doesn't remove trace elements from the water.

I've used it on many of my systems over the years & found it to be a great product. Last time I think I recharged it three or four times till it finally canned out. I'll be using it again on my new FO aggressive reef.

BA. $15 for the stuff, and $15 for the special filter sock, which I don't think you really need.
