I dont know how the prices compare to pet shops, because I get staff pricing. They also carry beckett stuff too.

![]() I'm using a little giant FE2000 mag drive pump that I bought from a plumbing wholesaler for 128 bucks. Seems to be working fine. I hope it continues that way.

![]() ABS is what 99% of your in-tank plastics are (think powerheads, the plastic trim on the tank etc)

![]() A lot of it goes back to internet mythology... Most people believe food safe = fish safe... And since ABS isn't certified for use as drinking water plumbing, it's not useable for tank plumbing. It is inert, it is perfectly acceptable to use in your tank. Just like the whole pvc vs cpvc debates that used to go around in years past...
