![]() Hello,
What wattage of CF would you guys recommend on a 10g nano for softies? And what wattage for SPS? Titus |

![]() I would recommend the 96W Coralife aqualight. It fits perfectly on a 10 gallon tank. The 96W might be too bright for sofies when it is new. However, I am sure you are aware that CF bulbs lose half their initial lumens in six months. It is a great light though.

![]() Throw a couple 400 watters on there :P
I agree with Bob and Steve, a 96W Powerquad Compact fluorescent fixture(made my Coralife) will do great. A 70W Metal Halide fixture is also another option if you want to go with more SPS. Chris

![]() I dunno know if you could keep many SPS corals under a 70watt. I've seen people keep SPS under 250, but it seems to get them to grow you need 400 watts... But if Bob is saying keep SPS under 70 watts, who am I to tell him he's crazy - being the seasoned pro that he is. I guess if water is tip top, you'll be okay. Someone is the US was keeping a maxima clam under 32 watts of CF lighting and it kept it's color, so who knows?

![]() My tank is only a 7.5gal but it's 12" deep as well - and SPS and softies both do great in it.
