Default Adding sand

Ok, so I added the sand today. I rinsed the aragamax somewhat, and I didn't put it all in as it looks like my sand bed is atleast 2.5-3 inches deep. I think this is deep enough...Now I tried to do it slowly and add the sand carefully, but alas, a lot of my rock is covered now in sand. What is the best way to get it off the rock?

You could use a turkey baster or small powerhead.

If you have a sponge for the powerhead it is best to use it for a few days to cut down and the sand storm
