Default Shaw Cable and E Mailable forms

I have spent that last 2 months, on & off, trying to get a form E Mail back to me from my Shaw website. I have tried Frontpage and doing it in HTML code but it will not work. I called Shaw about a month ago and asked if their personal web space would allow forms to be filled out and E Mail back. The guy said no problem, well there is a problem because it doesn’t work.

After 2 fruitless hours last night I researched it some more and I was reading in my wife’s programmers book that I need to indicate where the CGI script is located. Then on the Shaw customer service website, they are indicating that they do not support all of the Frontpage extensions nor the CGI script thingamajig.

So my long winded question is: Has anyone who uses Shaw’s personal webspace been able to use a from that gets E Mail back to your home web space?

Thanks
Patrick

Shaw isn't enabled to handle forms. Shame.

This is what my dad & I did for his website when we both were on Shaw.
Set up the form as normal in FP. Where it says SUBMIT... we had the link sent to a file: "_private/form_results.txt" rather than a database. He later had to go and get the text file every now & then. It was a b----- to do, but oh well! We were going to try to send it to his email, but I think my father said that Shaw wasn't equipped to do that either.
Sorry if I wasn't able to help you better.

Btw- how much do you pay for the Shaw Wave? We didn't have cable, so it was going to cost us $42.95. Forget that. We switched to Telus. Am not sure if it was a better move or not.
