I had a few spots of ich on my Hippo Tang, raising the temp to 81 cleared the problem up. Plus one of the RC people, I think it was Shimek, had an article about coral reef temperatures usually being in the low to mid 80's range.
On the other hand the higher the temperature, the lower the oxygen content of the water, so I can see the point of lower temperatures too.
