If that is the case, they might as well not do it at all. It is an all or nothing thing, IMHO.

On another note, all it would take is placing all acros in one system and doing the treatments. Apparently, the bugs won't live more then 5 days without an acro, or so Eric Borneman has found in his tests.

Default treating this weekend

I'm going to treat for the first of three treatments this weekend. I got a tablet from Jesse a few months back so I'll be using that to treat first. Then hopefully the deal with WWWD's vet vet pulls through
Just waiting for my peppermint shrimp to go into the trap. I've caught 3 of the four shrimps in my system so its just a matter of time before he climbs into the trap

money, it would cost a lot for a comercial store to treat as they would have to do all there tanks at once and anything cool, like acro crabs, would be killed off. also the cost of waterchanges alone would be though the roof
I was actually suggesting that they treat the coral after they've removed it from the main display tanks...before they sell it to me. The coral I purchased clearly had some bugs and I was told they were harmless. So far, that seems to be the case...but that seems contrary to the experience of the posters here.

It can take hours for the bugs to die from interceptor, so a dip treatment doesn't work.. basically the only way you are going to get a frag with no red bugs is to treat it yourself.

it's pretty much your own responsibility to dip and treat corals put into your system to protect your livestock.
