www.garf.org, i came accross this site yesterday. it seems they are having great success with tank raised corals and such. i was curious to know if anyone here has tried their man mad agrocrete rocks? they have very nice shape, allow water to flow through them, and they are $5 a pound/cured...oh and they are a lot lighter than traditional LR.

You can make your own LR. It would be a lot less expensive than US6$00/lb.

I tried it, all the bells and whistles too (plastic shavings, macaroni, yadda, yadda), it was gay. I prefer the look of the real thing. Additionally, you get all these cool things in real live rock. I suppose, by that same token, that you can also get some really nasty things, but that's what a screw driver, a flashlight and a bucket of water is for.

That all said, expect to spend the majority of a summer curing the stuff and having a relatively sterile tank for the first six months of set up.
