			 If you feel that you want to keep SPS corals right away, then go ahead and spend it on metal halide lighting.  Usually 1 MH light covers a 2'x2' area, but this will change depending on the depth of your tank, how high off the surface the fixture will be installed and how your rockwork is set up. 
		
	
		
		
		
		
		
	
		
		
	
	
	I would spend the money on soft corals, LPS and other livestock. There are enough species out there to keep you interested for a while until you decide that you absolutely *need* metal halide lighting. The CC star will eat your corals unfortunately, but the emerald should be ok provided it is the real deal.  |
