![]() just wanting to know if you have both running on your tank and why
i have both and have seen others who use both at same time. i dont have my calcium reactor running at this moment,but my kalk reactor is.i am planing a new take and it will be mostly sps. please dont slame me as i wish to do it right and not mess it up. so far everthing in my tank is doing great. any imput would be nice thanks

![]() I believe the calcium reactor is a better supply of calcium, but can lower the Ph in the tank. the kal reactor raises the Ph in the tank. So between the 2, you get a stable Ph. At lease that's my understanding.

and calcium is at about 6.5 to7 something

![]() basicaly think of them as dping the same things but different, both raise Ca and Alk, but a Ca reactor is better at raising Alk than it is at raising Ca and a Kalk reactor is better at raising Ca than it is at Alk. you also get a bit of PH benifit they say with the Kalk but I have never seen that.

![]() I have a reactor and dose kalk. I was keeping up with just additives until I eradicated phosphates and watched consumption on both soar... but a tank with clams & stony corals will do that.. it means they're growing
