are you counting the lockout season towards his suspension? no one played last year.

he only missed 14 regular season games, and 7 playoff games, a whopping 21 games...wow...

I have always found it funny how only vancouver fans stick up for this guy. It doesn't matter what his intentions were the fact is that his actions caused a broken neck and Steve Moore(let's not forget about him) will probably never play hockey again and realistically bertuzzi shouldn't be able to play until moore can. I'll put it this way what if that was Georges Laraque who did that and it was against a vancouver player you would call for his head. I'm not saying anything against vancouver fans but Bertuzzi is a moron and 20 games is not enough for ending someones career. Period!

Did they actually prove that it was Bertuzzi's punch that broke his neck or the three players from his own team jumping on top of him after? It is a real shame that Moore got a broken neck, but that stuff is bound to happen in a game like hockey. What i find unfair is how that NHL "reacts" and dose not "act". Do you think that Bert would have got the same suspention if Moore did not get his neck broken. Hitting from behind happens all the time. Why is o.k. sometimes and not others. Do you think Bert wanted Moores neck to be broken, of course he was sorry about that.

its over and done. lets play hockey.

GO CANUCKS GO

P.S. It was pretty pathetic watching Bert cry like a little kid in front of millions of people.

Can a neck be broken while laying flat on the ice? Doesnt add up!

Anyways its looking to be a great season in the West. Looking forward to another season of the Flames in the finals and the red mile!

You're right - I read some letters in the Globe and Mail from various parts of the country, and they were quite heated against reinstating him before 2006.

Maybe most of them were Leafs fans... but I doubt it. I hate seeing replays of that incident - you just can't explain it away no-how.
