![]() i used a dremel with a number 7144 bit.it was very easy and i can make alot of other cuts then just holes.i cut a few slots and an overflow.i was very surprised at how quick it went even though the glass was from a ten gallon and very thin.

![]() I've used these before and they cut pretty good thru glass. Just take your time with your cuts.
http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.a...30,43409,43425 You can get these as well, but the $25.00 difference still makes a difference to my pockets. http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.a...30,43409,43425 |

![]() Masked Reefer, have you used those economy bits to cut glass? I'm going to have about 8 small tanks to cut some holes in and do you think the ones from Lee Valley would be alright or should I stick with the Dremel diamond bit?

![]() i think i may just get a bit off ebay... but at those prices i will only go with one size...
what size bit do i need for 1" bulkheads? i figure if i go with that size, if i need more flow, i can just add drill a second hole.

![]() smokinreefer I pretty sure you'll need a 1-3/4" hole for a 1" bulkhead. |
