![]() Hi, I was wondering if people who have had a Six Line Wrasse in their tank before found them to be aggresive fish?

![]() Mine is not at all agressive, in fact it never bothers any of the other fish. It is a real curious little fish, always swimming and checking things out. It eats my home made frozen food, mysis shrimp, and pods... tons of pods.

![]() Mine is an a$$. My last addition a royal gamma, didn't come out for over 2 months, because the sixline would chase him back in. Now they are getting a little better with each other. Also chases my chromis's around too. Big fish they don't bother, but little ones you might have a problem. But he eats everything, flake, frozen, pods...

![]() The only trouble I have ever had with mine was when he tore up my Mandarin.

![]() My six line is a suck....but you have to remember their attitude is based on the order they were added to the tank.....If they were one of the first in then they will most likely be aggressive but if they are close to being last then they won't be aggressive at all!!

![]() I added a couple of tomato clowns after I put in a six line and I had no problems. Mine is actually quite a passive fish and leaves everyone alone (*knocks on wood*). Its also quite the little pig... its eats everything that I put into the tank, fried dried krill, frozen mysis, flakes, etc. It has quite the pot belly

![]() Well, there's both ends of the spectrum here. I've read that you should add them last to an established aquarium so everything else has their own territory. Mins never bothered any fish directly, but starved my manderin by eating all of his pods.

![]() You wouldn't know it to look at my six line wrasse, because he looks peaceful and what not ... but he's a killer.
![]() Proceed with caution is all I can say. They are cool fish, but can have mean streak develop. Not as bad as other fish mind you, but, enough to be wary of this fish. My own observations are that a pecking order is very important to this fish. Anyone who can do more damage to the sixline, than the sixline can do in return, will be respected and not harrassed. Anyone lower on the totem pole, however, i.e., those who the sixline can do more damage to them, are the ones who will be occasionally harrassed. Occasionally that harrassment can be an all and all out assault (which the victim may not survive).

![]() Yeah I watched this guy for like ten mins during feeding too. And he seemed not to have a care about any other fish around. I will have to back and watch him some more but they can't get him out of the tank he is in right now. Thanks for the information guys.
