![]() I think they said 30 to 50% chance of showers for the weekend. I'll take it I guess, its better than the 100% chance from the past two weekends. Mind you this is Calgary, the forcast changes like every hour.

![]() As of today they're predicting about 100mm of rain over the weekend. Because the ground is so saturated with moisture they say flooding is still a big issue, and it won't take much rain to swell the rivers again.

![]() That was the EBS flood warning on the radio, for the Highwood River and the town of High River. Aptly named town, don't you think?

![]() It was quite nasty last night/early AM.. I left work at almost 1am, I was going South down Crowchild and just before the offramp to Glemmore all lanes were underwater you had to get over to the left lane as it was the shallowest.. the fair right lane had at lease 12" of water but probably alot more.
Got near my end of town near the city limits and one intersection was almost under water (fair end of Lake Chaparral, there was litterally a lake in one intersection) ![]() Its quite nasty.,

![]() Well the bow is looking pretty big... Driving down canyon meadows, the section between macleod and deerfoot, everyone was pulled over looking into the river valley at the new lake.
Coming back, it sure looked like the WTP at the calf robe was about to have a whole lot of extra water in it's system. If any southern alberta farmer complains about the drought this year... Andy |
