Interesting that you posted this. Mine seem to be going downhill.

I wonder why? I know that when ever I stir up parts of the sand bed my zoos seem to open up and eat the "cloud". Could they be lacking food? I know you don't target feed Bob, what about you Christy?

Actually I have some mushrooms in that tank belonging to someone else. They too start to retract after a while. I then throw in some Marine Snow, and they open up again. I have a feeling BB is just too sterile for softies and mushrooms etc. Also the tank is fishless.

I can only offer this up as a very limited experience.

boB,

Reading your post on your fishless, BB 15g with declining zoos makes me wonder if they are lacking peripheral feeding when feeding fish.

Do you have other BB tanks with zoos and fish in them? If so, how are the zoos doing?

I had, until a couple of months ago, a BB 67g full zoos and lps. Had fish in the tank which I fed twice daily. Zoos and especially the lps were growing well.
