I just picked one up at Big Al's Edmonton last night. They have a couple fragged, $10 each. They had 3 left! If you find out what the name of the mushroom is, please let me know - thanks!

Big Al's had frags with only one mushroom per rock for $10 each. I didn't think that a wonderful deal, but they're soooo pretty . . . They will grow and multiply! I'm sure that I will soon regret my indulgence in mushrooms!! Would love to know the species name, am pretty sure that the genus is discosoma (sp?) - so, if anyone knows . . .

Actually, they look exactly the same as the picture bnhreef has in the first post . . . the ones at Big Al's aren't big, only about 1 1/4" across, but nice and irridescent.

Yeah, I understand that they get to be about 3" . . . the ones at Big Al's are just little, recently fragged. Easy to keep - can put them anywhere.
