Well, ro/di units are the best mass market water purifiers we have available to all us reefers. It does indeed make 99.9% pure water when well maintained. The article seemed a little harsh, but I bet you he's using a ro/di unit on his tanks too. There is such a thing as creating 100% pure water, but you'll have to ask the people in the nuclear reactor plants for it.
