I keep looking for that RBTA you use as your avatar on RC ... I guess it's not this tank ..

Nice pictures, BTW. I don't know why, but I've always been fond of 20g reef tanks. I have a little 20g with a wee little reef, some scraps from my other tanks, some frags, and a pair of fairy wrasses in there. I use a 150W 20000K double-ender. I like it, although for intensity you might want to look at 10000K. The 20000K is cool for colour but lacks a strong punch on the insensity compared to whiter lights.

Tank looks great and you are on your way to a nice little system.
I only have 2 comments for you;
#1...I would not add anymore fish, you are at your limit IMO
#2...Have you thought about a finer substrate, looks better IMO
Get that RO man, you won't regret it
Thanks for the pictures

Thanks for the kind words guys! hahaha. no I wish I had that BTA though!

Anyways... I was thinking about adding one more fish, but now I don't think I should... I was thinking about a flame angel.

I had been getting comments on RC about the substrate. I have decided to do a switch soon, to sand. I do NOT want a DSB though, just an inch or so?

I am getting the RO/DI unit soon, just waitin for the taxes to come back ... Aquasafecanada is my first choice... I'll be ordering off eBay

anyone have suggestions as to how to remove the CC?

JUst use a kitty litter scoop. Make sure it is fresh. I would also leave some of that rougher stuff in the tank so the Goby can build his home. Fine sand will collapse on him. He will drag bigger chanks to help support the walls. JMO nice tank BTW. Got some close ups of the clowns. Also what do you mean by CB Ocellaris Clowns?

hello hello.

kitty litter scooper hey... i'll have find me one of those! thanks for the tip. I'll make sure to take out my hermits and snails before I remove the CC, but that's all I will remove. I will leave the rocks and everything else alone.. and whatever I cannot take out will just remain in there... its fairly big and chunky so I should be able to get the majority of it out. I'm glad you reminded me about the YWG ... I'll save a nice little pile of CC by his rock that he can do what he wants with. (how do you tell a male and female YWG apart BTW?)

and yes, CB means captive bred.. as in "tank-raised" clownfish. I do have a closeup at home, I am currently at work so I'll post 'em up when I am home this evening.

do you guys know where I can get some white sand (the common type sand we see in this hobby) in Calgary? I don't want much , or need much for that matter. Just want an inch and a half or so of sand... NO DSB!

Thanks again for the kind words

Scott
