Why, oh why is JL selling dictyota algae, that stuff is a menace, nothing eats it and it spreads like crazy. I would rather have hair algae and cyano

and i have had first hand experience of all three

yeah and they are also selling sand dollars.. nothing like a sand dollar for killing your bed!

Sounds like it would be good in a refugium. Have had red dictyota like that in my tank. Just loved it. I think my emerald crab did it in

I'm not sure i would trust it even in a refugium, I spent 8 mths of weekly rock tweezering to get rid of that stuff, at least with hair algae i could use a toothbrush

I don't know about a toothbrush. I used a yellow tang on my hair algae, he made short work of it, better than any snail or crab. JMO
