![]() No first hand knowledge either.
I have taken a few things apart in demolition. Mainly tile that has been siliconed together, or to the tub. If it was a good bond from the start, two pieces would come apart with quite a large force. I don't believe that silicone in a corner would not be a bit structural. Your best bet is to get two pieces of glass and try it yourself after letting the silicone cure for at least 48 hrs, if not a week. Not many people would take the chance of not having an inside silicone bead. Just my HO |

![]() my thinking would be this...
much much much easier to run a new bead of silicone on the inside of a watertight tank, than to repair the tank if the bond between glass begins to leak. I'm looking for a watertight 90 cube. lemme know if you want to get rid of it! No first-hand experience though. i would think that the corner bead of silicone would also protect the structural bond from damage from glass cleaning/scraping.
