Washing machine question (Kenmore problem)

I had a small prob with my kenmore washer. It was the electo water valve that let the water in. It was a $10 part and about half an hour of my time....then a year later the timmer went....then the motor went about 1 year after. not bad for doing laundry for 6 people for 10 years that I know of and then some before that as it came with the house i bought I have since droped the coin on a front load washer and my wife loves it ...I don't even know how to turn the darn thing on, I call my daughter over to do that
