![]() Hi All,
It's amazing how these RBTAs keep splitting. For those of you who have got some from me in the past, please give me an update as to whether they are splitting for you as well. I started with one and now I have over 100 and they keep splitting. I would like to know what influences them, is it environment mostly, or lighting, chemical balance of the water or a variety of factors. \ Let me know! Happy Reeffing! Bob |

![]() One thing that makes them split is stress. When A bubble tip feels like its in danger it splits to ensure at least part of it lives. I had my heater break and my tank dropped a few degrees, they all split. I moved the rock they were on into a new flow area, they all split so I did some reading and sure enough its a way of ensuring survival, make more of yourself.
Not the only reason for sure but a big one. |

![]() I picked one up from you a few months back. It was less than an inch when I got it and it just split a few days ago. It was only about 2.5 inches when it split. My water parameters aren't great but it's stable. Haven't changed any equipment either.
It hasn't moved since the first day I placed it. It's always bubbled up and doesn't appear to be stressed. I was definitely surprised it split so soon. Last edited by chooch; 04-12-2018 at 01:23 AM. |

![]() Interesting comments. When I started the hobby about 5 years ago it was not common to hear of aquarium RBTAs splitting that much. I have had other types of RBTA that never split including long tentacles.
Please keep the insight coming....any marine biologist out there! LOL Bob - 604 614 9118 Langley |
