Rarotonga was wonderful for snorkeling- you could go all the way around the island in 5-10 feet deep. It was great! One day there was even a huge Manta Ray inside the reef!

I mean.. have to go through Rarotonga to get to Aitutaki but, it's so hard to know... I've read recent reports that up to 90% of raro's inner reef hard coral is toast. The lagoon for aitutaki isn't in great shape either, but the trips to one foot island and such are much better from what I've read.

I haven't booked the accommodation for aitutaki yet, maybe I should split 3 and 3 between each.
