![]() Definitely. Around 10 years ago there were three retailers in PG who carried saltwater livestock. Now there are none. Even the lower mainland has lost a lot of retailers: Hidden Reef, Oceans Aquatics, Oceanic Corals etc. Around when I was getting into the hobby there were several more setting up tanks over 200gal locally. Nowadays its really rare. My annual earnings have been stagnant but the cost of this hobby has at least doubled since 2004.

![]() Kidding of course. Every market has its season. May /June being the worst for this hobby. Why May / June? we are all outside getting the front yard, back yard, pool and pond ready for summer. Heck, Even I have spent more time on my pool the past 2 weeks than my tank. Once July comes around and our lawns are green, we tend to look out for out tanks a little more. Ray |
