I have been using Super Reef Octopus for years and have been more than pleased. Performs awesomely. I got the neck cleaner and also added a collection bucket. Great skimmers. No experience with the Bubble king.

Thanks for all the help. I just can't make sense of the naming conventions of the Bubble King skimmers, it seems like skimmers rated for larger tanks are priced less or or a lower numeric number than others.
The various posts you have contributed have helped me narrow down my choices to either a Bubble King DeLuxe 250 Internal or a Reef Octopus Regal 300SSS, and the choice will come down to how reliable supply of replacement parts is. Charles
