![]() Do cycle ur live rock ahead of time
Do make way more water than you think you'll need and have containers/tubs with heaters and flow that can sustain your live stock for a day or two while ur new tank stabilizes... May be better to drain all/most of the water in ur existing tank slide it out of its spot and refill it that way u have flow and lights to sustain ur live stock if the new tank has a mini cycle Do take the time to clean ur existing live rock with a scrub brush. Anything less and you're going to be constantly trying to establish a stable nitrifying bacterial population which will put your corals and fish under stress. Set up your new tank and don't move your existing livestock into it until it's working properly and stable.
