They're t5 LEDs.
I found them to be superior to t5s in heat and life of spectrum but you will NOT get the pop you expect from led with these bulbs. I still supplement my 6 bulb Rsm 250 with an led stunner. I bought four e5s and onlys use 2 because I found the t5s made for better looking corals (aesthetically, didn't notice a difference in health).
