![]() My tank is growing black sponge. Wondering how common it is.
![]() It can bee seen at the bottom of this rock and between the mushrooms on the top.

![]() I've got some black sponge (along with a whole bunch of other sponges I've never been able to ID). Mine kind of grows like a mat over the rocks. How about you?

![]() i posted something somewhere sometime ago on a rock with black sponge and people told me not to worry
actually i think seahorsefanatic was the one that said hes seen it a few times and its not harmful. |

![]() I've had some of the same black sponge before. Coincidentally it was also on a purple mushroom rock.

![]() They are quite common. I have black, yellow, orenga, white and pink sponges growing on my liverock.
They usualy start to grow after the aquarium as matured a bit and if there are enough nutriment in the water. Zeovit Sponge Power will help them grow. |
