![]() This is seriously heartbreaking I feel his pain. I got added insurance for my tanks to cover any situation like this. Hopefully never have to use it.

![]() We got a little taste of what it must have been like today.
Our 300G deep dimensions tank decided to let go today. Good thing it happened during business hours for the employees to notice. Thankfully nothing was lost!

![]() The truth of the matter is any tank from any builder can break, defects in the seams or material can easily be missed and as far as I know no builder has a proper testing procedure. I've always thought someone should develop a design code/standard for larger aquariums, making it a requirement for commercial and optional for residential. The standard would include a hydrotest procedure for pressure testing aquariums to a given amount beyond the design pressure, thus substantially reducing the chances of defects like this being missed.

![]() ^ Absolulty. Its just ironic that the point where it initially failed was right under that logo sticker of the builder

![]() Aww, man. Sorry to hear, but glad you didn't lose anything (and hopefully your floors are ok). Its stories like these that keep me up at night (and get me out of bed damned quick when I hear weird noises at night).

Our recent experience does not even hold a candle to Peters. Only about 100G ended up leaking out. We were able to drain the tank before it completely drained itself. We have floating wood floors so they will need to be replaced. I already have a new tank scheduled to be delivered.
