Thank you for the response!

I thought some surgery might be in order. Would Kent Coral Vite suffice for a dip solution? I don't have any iodine since my salts provide a good amount for ambient uptake. I don't have any marine stores around me... I'm in Creston, BC.

P.S. I don't have any reef glue, would a rubber band suffice, to attach the cut to a rock?

you don't have to use reef glue, use some cheap gel glue from hardware store in your area will do. Crazy gel

Ahhh, Lugol's Iodine solution for a dip. Gotcha. I'll have some tomorrow.
