![]() I kinda doubt it with all us folks using MH, VHO and PC lights on our tanks. But, honestly, I never really considered your question before.... Maybe someone who actually knows stuff around here will offer a REAL answer

![]() You gotta also remember that fish are normally under the SUN all day, and I doubt any lighting we have comes even 1% close to the amount of energy the sun puts out.

'cause in the wild a lionfish (for example) wouldn't spend a lot of time within 20 inches of the surface (comparing depth to a quote normal unquote tank depth) and the light energy decreases pretty dramatically with depth |
